The Clan Warriors books are set in the Realms, a secondary world of rival kingdoms: the rich, poorly defended Central Realm of Avardi, the snowbound mountains of the North where the Clan Warriors live, and the deserts of the South, home of the Craigñe. At the heart of it is Liyana Adalbert, a princess who would rather be healing the sick in the border villages than sitting at court, and Bastian, a bad-tempered Clan warrior who wanted nothing to do with her. Their slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers romance runs through the series, alongside a war that is only getting started.
