Privacy Notice
What this website collects, why, and how to have it removed. Last updated 21 September 2026.

This site is run by the author Letitia Bancroft. Contact: [email protected].
Newsletter
If you join the Letter from the Clans, your email address is stored with our email provider, EmailOctopus, and used only to send you the newsletter. We ask you to confirm your address before anything is sent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all further emails. We never sell or share your address. We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how people find and use the site — for example which pages are read and which buttons are clicked. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser. It does not tell us who you are.
Links to Amazon
Buy and Kindle Unlimited buttons take you to Amazon, whose own privacy policy applies once you are there. To send you to your local Amazon store, the site remembers the store you pick in your browser’s local storage; this never leaves your device.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to its use. Email the address above and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
